How we make money
WhichBroker is a free resource supported by affiliate commissions. When a reader clicks a "Open Account" or "Visit" link on our site and signs up for a product, the financial institution may pay us a referral fee.
We also earn revenue from display advertising on some pages. Advertisers do not influence editorial content or rankings.
What this means for our rankings
Our editorial rankings are determined entirely by our independent research criteria — regulation, fees, platform quality, investor protection, and customer service. See our full rating methodology.
A broker that pays a higher affiliate commission does not rank higher as a result. We have declined to list platforms that could not pass our regulation check, regardless of the affiliate revenue they offered.
If a product we recommend does not have an affiliate programme, we still recommend it if it earns the ranking. We clearly note when a link is an affiliate link with the text "Affiliate link" or "Capital at risk."
Which links are affiliate links?
Pages with "Open Account →" or "Visit →" buttons typically contain affiliate links. These are always accompanied by a disclosure note near the button, such as: "* Affiliate link. Capital at risk."
Informational links to regulators, government websites, and third-party news sources are never affiliate links.
FTC & EU compliance
This disclosure complies with the US Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), as well as the EU's Unfair Commercial Practices Directive and applicable national advertising standards in EU member states.
