Who we are

WhichBroker is an independent financial comparison platform. Our team researches and reviews brokers, banks, crypto exchanges, and forex platforms across the world — helping everyday investors find regulated, trustworthy places to invest.

We are not a broker, bank, or financial advisor. We do not manage money. Our only product is objective, well-researched information that helps people make better financial decisions.

Our principles

🛡️

Regulated only

We only list platforms regulated by recognised financial authorities (SEC, FCA, ESMA, ASIC, MAS, etc.). Unregulated and offshore platforms are never included, regardless of fees paid.

⚖️

Editorial independence

Our rankings are based solely on our research criteria. Affiliate relationships never influence which platform ranks #1. We disclose all affiliate links clearly.

🔄

Regularly updated

Financial markets change fast. We update our rankings, fees, and regulatory information regularly — at least quarterly, and immediately when major changes occur.

🌍

Global perspective

Regulation, fees, and available platforms differ by country. Our reviews are tailored to each country's specific regulatory environment and investor needs.

How we rate platforms

Every platform we review is evaluated on the same criteria, weighted by category:

1

Regulatory check (pass/fail)

Before anything else, we verify regulation. A platform must hold a valid licence from a recognised authority. No licence = not listed. We check directly with the regulator's public register.

2

Fees & costs (30%)

We compare trading commissions, spreads, account fees, withdrawal fees, and FX conversion costs. We use real-world scenarios (e.g., €1,000 trade in European stocks) to calculate total cost of ownership.

3

Platform & features (25%)

We evaluate the web platform, mobile app, charting tools, order types, research access, and educational resources. We look at both desktop and mobile experiences.

4

Investor protection (25%)

We check fund segregation practices, deposit compensation schemes, cybersecurity track record, and financial strength of the parent company.

5

Customer service (20%)

We test support channels (chat, phone, email), response times, and quality of answers. We also review third-party user feedback from Trustpilot and app stores.

📌 Affiliate transparency: Some links on WhichBroker are affiliate links. If you open an account through one of our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects our rankings or editorial scores. See our full affiliate disclosure.
